I have found that the problem is with a header file from Protogen that was causing the trouble. It seems when the file is included prior to afxdb, the problem arise, if after all seems to work fine. I have just about given up on protogen and am finding classwizard sufficient for my needs so this isn't a problem at this time. I appreciate your attempt at help. (I never did find out what was in the file that was causing the problems, and not real interested in looking at this time.)
