Hi Craig, <<I think I've found the right forum at last. I have a problem accessing a dBASE database via ODBC in a DLL while the database is open in my VB app via non ODBC access (ie direct). Is this possible? The DLL works fine from a C++ MFC app. It also works fin if the VB app opens the database via ODBC?>> I don't know if it is possible. I believe customers have been able to do it with Access databases. I'm not sure what forums you have tried, but you should post this to the MSBASIC forum. It appears that the dBase engine of VB won't allow other applications to read the database. If you tried the MSBASIC forum, let me know what they told you about it.
