i have already converted all my old project files to the new settings. i loaded
them and changed the settings and saved them. this took care of that problem.
all my new projects ofcourse will be saved with the new setting.
as far as targa+ board, i really dont find any use for it.
the only potential use is for outputting to a single frame recorder, which i
dont plan to do any more.
as far as mat editor output, the viberant driver and viper pci give me 24bit
out put on my display screen.
also i have a few differant browsing programs that allowm me to brows targa
files very quikly in windows or 3ds.
as far as targa deticated programs(hires qfx) i find that many windows programs
are as powerful and as easy if not easier to use.
i just dont see what the targa board could do for me that i cannot achive
otherwise.
by removing my targa board i now have an extra slot fore a network card(all my
slots were full with the targa in there). also i dont have to worry about all
the memmory address problems assosiated with targa boards and other devices.
in any case i realize that everyone has differant needs and they should setup
their system accordingly. i tend to be a supporter of simplicity and find that
my new setup offers me the simmplest solution to my needs with the minimum of
compromise.
