Andrew, For making IPAS, you need either Metaware or Watcom compilers. You don't need Pharlap. You run IPAS routines from within 3D Studio. If you want to write standalone 32bit programs with the compiler you will need Pharlap if you get Metaware. You don't need Pharlap if you get Watcom. Basically, for 32bit dos programs, you need a compiler and a dos extender. IPAS modules use the DOS extender that's used with 3D Studio (Pharlap). Metaware does not come with a DOS extender and the one it will work with is Pharlap. Watcom comes with its own dos extender. Bailey
