Martin, although it might be an actual defect in the electronics, I would generally suspect that you have either a mechanical problem with the key, or more usually, the contacts for the key are dirty. If you are not mechanically and electrically inclined, I highly suggest you take the keyboard to a reputable PC repair shop and give them a shot at fixing the key. I've fixed several hundred of them and in all but a few cases a cleaning of the contacts repaired the keyboard. It's a bit tricky, so if you aren't so inclined, let someone do it who has done it for a while (ask them how many they've done!). If you are so inclined, I can provide a general description of the procedure although without specific knowledge of the A3000 keyboard. They are pretty much the same.
