Joe– Actually, I never had problems connecting with CI$–I just wasn't paying any attention, and didn't realize that I wasn't connecting at 2400 (which is the max for my modem, except when it's in fax mode). The big problem was connecting with a Mac. I managed connecting fine (after too many days of no sccuess) with another modem that I have. Probably tomorrow night I'll test the fax modem again, since Peter has to resend some of the picture files (the original ones were too big for my computer to convert). I've jotted down the initialization strings that you suggested, just in case. I guess one learns from trying over and over and over again… Pat
