You should check out a copy of Digital Video Magazine, it is a cross
platform – DTV publication.
As you have read, Commodore is in trouble but we all have hope that one of
the six groups interested in the technology will indeed keep the Amiga
going. We should know more in a few weeks after the trustees make a
decision on who gets what.
The Video Toaster is by far the best bang for the buck. NewTek will
continue to support the toaster, and is looking into a Amiga refurbish
program. They continue to produce, even now, new Amiga/Toaster products.
In any case, if there was an Amiga close-out sale would that stop you from
picking up a bargain? The money you make from you Toaster you could then
move to another system the following year.
