Hello everybody! Visionary Media is looking for an illustrator to illustrate the original multimedia children's story "The Wand." This will be the second title in a 2 title CD ROM, the other title is "Trolls' Bridges And Nasty Ogres." The Wand is the final title in a 4 title series of stories called The Amazing Bottle Series, the previously published titles in the series are, The Amazing Spectacular Ordinary Bottle, and I Saw A Strange Little Man. The Wand will be somewhat interactive with a degree of control over the plot. We desire a realistic style of art with a slightly surreal slant that may be either ray traced, computer painted, or natural media. Somewhat "painterly" styles are ok as long as we see a surreal influence. Please keep in mind that due to the interactive nature of the project, as many as 30 illustrations may be required. The CD will be published by Visionary Media and distributed by Ingram Book Company and Ingram Micro (the 2 biggest book and computer software distributors). A hybrid CD for both Mac and Windows platforms will first be produced with the distinct possibility of a CDi version released either in conjuction with the Mac/Win version or soon thereafter. The contract will be for multimedia reprint rights of the art, for the 3 platforms specified. We are unable to pay advances at this time, (though we're trying) however, the royalty schedule will be based on wholesale unit price and increase in precentage as sales increase.
