John, He might want to look at The Master Genealogist (TMG) even though he does not need all the charts. It permits the linking of many people through the 'Event tags' it supports. For instance, he could list all the pall bearers at a funeral as 'witnesses' and the deceased as the 'principal' and they would all be linked together. I don't know of any of the others that would fit in so well with that. They ALL handle siblings, parents, and children well. In the case of my relatives in North Little Rock – I may have fifteen or twenty funeral cards in which a certain cousin was a pall bearer – and then later, I will have a card from his own funeral. Has your friend considered getting some writer to publish the records from his funeral home? I should think it would be a good topic for a genealogy book, and that some of the genealogical publishing companies would be very much interested in it. Not exactly your style of writing, I suppose, but we could probably rustle up someone who'd like to do it. —Betty Read action !
