Carl, Thanks for the note on the RCD1000 problems – is the problem dye the one that's gold-colored, or the green-colored stuff that's fairly common? Why do you use it? Pinnacle is an 'interesting' company – much as a person might describe a new food they're pretty sure they don't like as 'interesting'. They must have their business act together – they've made their mark primarily by bringing out new technology at aggressive price points. But I've never been comfortable with them technically, and look forward to having other choices. But I suppose when Sony's offering a $495 CD-R, the latest Pinnacle RCD2500 will be $395, and I'll continue my cheapskate habits and buy it in spite of myself. John
