real life peformance of a 2x drive. Since you asked, I have some Plextor 4
Plex drives that never have trouble reading CD-R discs. My older Texel 2x
drive won't read them at all even though I paid $40 to have it "fixed" so that
it would read CD-R. Anyone need a 2x drive? "

My CDD521 produces discs that can be read on every CDROM player I have tried,
including the Texcel 2x, NEC 3x, Teac 4x, Sony 1x and 2x etc.
