Yes you can take an audio DAT tape and record that onto a Redbook CD-R. That's
how some of the recording studios do it. They're units usually have the DAT
player and recorder as part of the same unit. Such services cost in the area
of $30.
I've got to stress however that this won't work for a computer DAT tape, only
for an audio DAT tape. You also don't have the ability to edit the sound files
that way. It involves no premastering software as is normally discussed on
this forum as it's not the same process at all.
