Walter, There certainly are a lot of opinions about the Pinnacle, some good and some not so good. Before you commit to a drive, do monitor this forum for a while and try to sort them out and see how they might apply to your situation. My opinion: I've just upgraded from an RCD200 to an RCD1000. I hated the RCD200, but upgraded because it was moderately inexpensive (which is why I bought the RCD200 in the first place). I do not particularly like the s/w that ships with these drives – it has a smiley face that pleases reviewers and does simple things okay, but quickly becomes tedious if you want to do anything more complicated. It deletes files from your chosen list at glacial speed, for instance. Executive summary: if you can afford something better, go for it. John
