So if drives do not read mode 1 multisession disks they are completely according to the standard following even all the recommendations. And the Philips Sony white paper 'An introduction to CD-I Bridge Disc' which described for the first time the basic concept of the ISO 9660 extensions for MultiSession speak of mode 2 disks only.
