>>Are any of you familiar with the DCA Verification System (Doug Carson & Associates I believe)? Is a Compare issued through a premastering software as comprehensive as this type of disc check? Apparently, the DCA test will regenerate the EDC and ECC. Is this dependent on the CD writer that you have (do some have better compare capability)? Will a software product like Disc Detective or Easy CD Workshop perform this type of test? I've never used it (DCA VS), but it does a compare at a lower level than Disc Detective, from what I've been told. That would mean at sector level, and it probably would have to regenerate EDC/ECC.
