I will look into the Smartdrive question for a paper I'm writing for OSTA. It's
about optimizing a host machine for CD-Recording, and the chair of the Physical
Compatibility subcommittee strongly recommends turning Smartdrive OFF, as well
as any other programs and TSRs that may be running in the background.
