Thanks Kevin, I'll look for that file. I've already contacted the tech support people at the store I purchased it from, and they seem to think it might be the drive that is defective. I hope that's all it is, but I'm afraid my system (an "older" 486-33) might not be up to the task of a quad speed CD-ROM. Anyway, they asked me to send it in, so hopefully I'll know in a couple of days. Thanks for your help, Lloyd
