It seems to me he is suggesting creating two vertice-identical objects by sweeping a line two different ways. The first is a vertical line swept along a striaght line to create a grid (ie, grids.pxp maybe?) The second is a curved version of the vertical line (by using an arc) and sweeping it in a surface revolution to create a sphere. This is a neat tip as it suggests an implicit relation between two peices of geometry. Use of this approach could be used to create a myriad of sophisticated morphs. The only minor diffuculty I see is that the lofter requires closed curves. Could be easily done in your average 3D CAD package, though. — James — Choreo Motion —
