Hi John,
With 3DS/R4, there are no provisions for 3D hardware acceleration. With R5
under NT, there *probably* will be. (I don't know if there have been any
specific announcements regarding that… I just keep reading messages from
Jonas (AdesK) saying "… please visit us at SIGGRAPH…" 🙂
Anyway, since the native NT environment supports OpenGL and boards such as
ELSA's GLoria support OpenGL with 3D hardware accelaration, you can probably
count on 3D acceleration with R5.
