Yo John – Of _course_ it's a perfect description – it's actually the word 3D Studio techos use to describe the problem. You yourself saw it in the (as yet) undocumented Yost Files – by the way, I'm gonna be in the film version, (I play Agent Tween), and Dan "Full Dinner Jacket" Quail will be playing a broom handle. Check it out in your area wherever they play B-grade movies. I'm just playing with the software at this stage, but it is incredibly exciting stuff. I wish I'd had access to something like this a few years ago when I was in the video industry. But I'm starting to get the feeling that a Pentium is really what I need. I'm beginning to become suspicious of the BIOS in my current machine, as well as the video card, and without getting someone of large brain in here, it's all looking a little hard to sort out. But I've been looking for a reason to grab another machine anyway, and here it is. Incidentally, what is the difference between FLI and FLC files? I notice FLIs only allow rendering to Phong stage (hey – maybe I should play Agent Phong, an inscrutible but Kung Fu savvy acquaintance of Tween's who dies in a memorably horrible way about a third of the way in to the movie – but I digress) where was I? Oh yes – rendering to Phong stage, while FLCs render with Metal attributes. Are FLCs playable outside of 3DS? How? And what – _oh what_ – are SMK files? I downloaded the Chapel.smk file yesterday, and it's just sitting on my hard drive taunting me. Dunno what to do with it. I _must remember to put the large brain in before downloading stuff, I think. America's Cup – yeah that was cool. Auckland came to a stand still the day they arrived home with it – half a million people on the streets to fete it to the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron headquarters. I think that it was a case of us wanting to win it more than anyone else in the competition. My own yacht is marina-ed just a few miles from where the competition is going to be held so keep your eyes peeled for the next America's Cup – look out for a white 24foot Harmonic upsetting the competition by sailing straight through the middle of the course, bearing a banner saying "Phong didn't die! Phong was taken away be aliens, the same ones who took Elvis!". And look for crowds of other boats rallying behind this brave call for an enquiry and justice. The one with the megaphone will be me. Ooops, time for the medication. I like the red pills better than the white – don't you? What's that, Tink? Is Pan in trouble? I gotta go. Pan's in trouble. Spot ya, Sunshine. Laurie
