"My new problem now is when I start the program it comes up and looks like its all running but I can't load (open) any files. It always returns the message "Request for unsupported feature". " I haven't been able to find the error string you report (I have a utility which looks for text strings in binary files). The closest I've seen to your situation was loading a lot of programs, so that my system resources were low, and then trying to play animations I'd opened in AAStudio. They seemed to be playing, but the image never changed. This seemed mysterious as I would have expected an error or something. Are you running other things? Are your system resources low?
