Okay. I dunno what you experience is but:
Create text in Corel. Export to AI. Reimport to Corel. Check out, say a capital
'R' it can be thought of, if you like, as a capital 'D' with legs. The legs are
not the problem. The 'D' is, however. It can be thought of as a semicircle,
with a semicircular hole in it. The AI filter don't seem to like creating holes
in things. So what it does is it breaks the D into two pieces thus:

(If you can imagine the 'u' as a reflection of the 'n'. The 'u' part also has
the 'R's legs attached to it. the 'n' and the 'u' overlap slightly. This is
what I mean by 'breaking holes'. What can be done, of course, is to convert the
'R' to curves, and then break it apart, so that, instead of a semicircle with a
semicircular hole, you have a semicircle with a smaller semicircle on top – and
now that I've typed all this, this doesn't seem too much of a problem!
