Hi Robert, Yeah, maybe Phillip (or Greg P) can shead some more light on the subject here is some email from Chri Van Oyen (100272,3665) on the subject it may help….I'm not a Acad user or fan…I think Acad is really an enhanced 2D shaper and lofter <g> ************************ To go from acad to 3DS, I suggest you look at the following export variable: FACETRES, which changes the mesh resolution when exprting from ACAD13, and this is especially true for all curved or bend objects. I have been using this for a couple of months, only in the beginning having some trouble. BTW you can also import 3DS files, change them without even loosing mapping and materials when exporting back to a 3DS file from ACAD13. Christophe CU GH in OZ
