Pretty good, as I have some time to get out and enjoy this most excellent
summer weather… <g>
Don't have any idea what would cause the disk chatter other than the scsi
controller, I assume like with other controllers it has a base address, if
you're using a Pentium it might be that you have to have shared memory
enabled.. I know this is true for the Ill Pro otherwise it won't see its base
address… on the other hand I have an NCR SCSI PCI and its talks to the bios
so that that isn't necessary…
Anyway if you want to try it, its in the Plug and Play section and it allows
you to set a base address and how much… also if you run MSD you'll be able to
tell if the controller Bios is actually where it should be… MSD is in your
DOS directory if you're not familiar with it…
Hope everything else finds you well, and that this is just a minor nuisance for
the time being…
