As there's been a fair amount of interest in the Exabyte, I thought I'd mention that its capacity and speed have been increased, and contrary to discussions earlier in the year it is a true DAT machine. The only 8mm DAT tape drive btw. And it runs around two grand for the internal unit which is down from a year ago at 10gig capacity. I figure my 8500 paid for itself within a year and I paid 2/3rds that roughly two years ago. So this guy is going on the list… pretty good deal for 14 gig of storage on an 8mm tape. John
