PMFJI cool VRML writer, isn't it? It produces VRMLs that don't crash! not
like many posted all over the place… there are a lot of bogus VRML files out
there so far.
I would like to encourage any 3DSers out there to check this out. It is a good
thing for 3D Studio. While I MUCH prefer 3DS to VRML (based on open inventor)
as a file spec, none-the-less VRML seems to be the choice for internet 3D
worlds these days. I for one feel this may change when viewers come out that
will support more than just VRML. Our new NAVFlyer ( with a great HELP
section, Sanford 🙂 should be available in the CDK section this week) supports
3DS, DXF and VRML and I hope those of you who are flying using other VRML
browsers will consider checking ours out as well. This way you can surf to
any internet site and fly not only VRML files there but also 3DS and DXF, just
downloading into the viewer, not to your hard drive, unless you choose to….
So Yosters….. where is the 3D Studio homepage with our multi world links?
yea I know Myopic vision for your monumental task of rewriting 3DS…can't
blame you for not getting to it yet, but if you (or anyone else) have any
interest in persueing it, I would like to volunteer some help from some of my
students here to pull it off. Our home page is under construction now and will
be at least one site to link to. Any others out there? Please let me know if
there are,
Thanks Angela
