I also beleive that AutoCAD has received a bad rap. Actually, I feel that
AutoCAD is one of the more logical pieces of software found in many offices.
By logical I mean that logic can often be used to help solve problems that
present themselves with the lack of hands-on experience.
Also, I would say that more is expected from AutoCAD. In fact, the
expectations are often unrealistic. In turn, most of the users of… Word,
Excel or even Project fail to even understand it's full capabilitiy, never mind
develop unrealistic expectations.
However, I don't think that anyone would even suggest that AutoCAD is simple to
learn. At the same time those searching training are usually in need of some:
first, confidence building and second, hands-on experience.
Can AutoCAD be mass marketed? Yes, I agree. Can these masses be effectively
handheld and eased throught the fear of the unknown? I personally hope so for
I'll soon be banking on it!
