Sorry you ran into this. I think I had posted this before, but here's from
Vibrant (about 2 or 3 weeks ago):

So, what I expect is that Vibrant has a souped up STLBIOS or something, that
works in the cases that the Diamond- supplied STLBIOS doesn't. I'll see if I
have the latest info.
