>> Can I get the speed of a cycle to change. For instance, if I wanted one
stream to be faster than another in the same .flc? I guess I could try and see
if a 32 color cluster cycled in 16 frames. I'm working on a project that is the
same valve with 6 different sets of fluid flow through it. I'm making .flc's
and then compositing them with the valve in VP. Working fine except that in the
6 pieces they wanted three different speeds of flow. Anyway, thanks again. You
saved me. <<
yes, you can get the speed of cycles to change, and the method you outlined is
how you do it. a 30-frame flic offers some very diverse cluster speeds:
30 – one complete cycle for slowest flow
10 – 3 cycles for slow flow
6 – 5 cycles for medium flow
5 – 6 cycles for fast flow
3 – 10 cycles for very fast flow
for smoother mix of speeds, look for something more binary like 32-frame with
clusters of 32, 16, 8, 4 etc.
hope this helps.
