Jonas, I'm not an expert in dongle management but I have taken the dongle on and off the computer while it is turned on without any problems. I did ask at the SentinelPro (?) manufacturer's booth at SIGGRAPH if it was possible to blow the dongle by connecting and disconnecting it and I was told that it USED to be true with early versions but is no longer a concern. I don't know it what I was told was true but I've still got a good dongle. It might be worth an official call to the dongelizers to get the Final Word. Alec Jason
