I am writing a program for the Amiga to convert 3-D objects between the proprietary formats of Sculpt 3D, VideoScape 3D and Forms in Flight, three animation and modeling programs on the Amiga. The program will convert data between several other formats in neat-o ways. Does CAD-3D dominate the Atari 3D market? Should I convert objects from another program, too? Also, who maintains a good collection of public domain CAD-3D objects? I'd like to get in touch with them soon. I've read the docs that Hudson wrote in DL 12. Is there any example source code out there, too? I've already converted his descriptions to C, but would love to cross-check my work. (I am already seriously considering porting this program to the Atari ST and Mac… and reading the most popular Mac formats for 3-D objects. Any suggestions?)
