Now the only question *I* have is – would it work in CONJUNCTION with a Commodore A2090 controller? (that is work without conflicts). I'm torn between adding a second internal floppy and thus forgoing the possibility of adding a 3.5" hard drive. An external floppy is a possibility, but not as desirable. And I don't know about the speed/cost/problems with external MAC type SCSI drives hooked onto the SCSI port of the A2090 controller – YET. Anybody have any comments about that? Have you hooked up an external SCSI drive to the A2090? If so, please leave your comments about any problems or DISKPERF results you may have come up with. #M:3m7-/|xwsion Hardware 30-Jul-88 19:52:09 I am using the Hard Disk that I originally bought from CLtd for my 1000 as an external SCSI device off of the 2090. The drive is a Rodime (don't have the model offhand) with built-in SCSI controller (no Adaptec or Omti, the drive was built for SCSI). Works fine. The diskperf results were pretty good (peaking around 450K reads using FFS). The drive's a little slower than that, tho, cause it seems to be a bit on the slow side seeking. Don't have the rest of the diskperf results handy tho. All in all, the drive has worked fine for me. The other plus to me is that I no longer have to try to get support from CLtd, which in my experience was an 'iffy' proposition at best. Hope this helps…Bob
