I am looking for expansion memory for my Amiga 1000 (currently w/512K). If anyone has purchased expansion memory for an Amiga 1000 lately, and you are pleased with its performance, please send me a message about what you purchased: brand, amount of memory, price, address of the place where you made the purchase, special features, the prices of the memory chips for more expansion later, and whether the product is available by mail. Here is what I'd like to get: Added memory from 512K to 2 Megs, with a battery-powered clock, and expandable in the long run to 2 megs (or maybe up to 8 megs). I've heard a lot about the Microbotics StarBoard2 expansion module, so I'd really like to hear about prices of this product, but I also would like to hear about other brands. Please don't tell me about internal (Tear-Apart-My-Amiga-And-Void-My-Warranty) expansions, as I want to hang it off the side of my computer. I'd really like to hear from those of you associated with vendors. Unfortunately I will be moving soon, so I won't be able to respond quickly, but I'll be back on-line about August 15th.
