Vic,
If a painter works from a specification, don't we have a situation of 0%
inspiration, 100% perspiration? I recollect that (at least during the '60s)
Andy Warhol never referred to himself as an "artist," but only as a "painter,"
as in House Painter, painting not pictures but very tiny walls.
A craftsperson takes the craft seriously, and if the definition of "art" is
"that which the producer takes seriously" then the craftwork perforce is "art."
