used 1000 or new 500?
I am about to buy an amiga, but don't know which one to get. I can get a used
1000 with 512k, second ext. drive and genlock with some software for about
$500. I can also get a new 500 for 600. I want to use the system to play with
video productions(i.e. genlocks, frame grabers …) I have a mac+ for most of
my other needs but a mac II is just overpriced. Also I have always wanted to
play with an Amiga. Will the 1000 suit my uses. I know I will have to add some
memory. Local store(bit bucket in boston area) says I will need about 2MB. Any
comments on the above questions would sure be helpfull.
