Nope.. Mot,Lyr,Dxfer and DRW are all in CSI Multi-forth!!! RGS is the Drw
update (real time additive spectral synthesis, MIDI, etc. etc.) and it's in
JForth. (Not uploaded on CIS cuz I'm waiting for the the JFORTH 'clone"
compression system). Other stuff I write is in assembler, mostly dealing with
intense audio double buffering and generation. F'rinstance, ForAnnRising is an
implementation of James Tenney's 1969 electronic piece 'For Ann(Rising)', which
is nothing more than a series of continuously rising tones. I "normally" play
eight simultaneous voices via double buffered additive synthesis. The sytem can
have its sample rate lowered from 15040 KHZ, which allows up to 30 simultaneous
voices. The technique is also used in my upcoming uploads and products
featuring SMPTE code striping for audio and video.
My humble opinions: I hated Modula a whole lot because of needless typing and
endless linking. ditto with C. The assembler I use (HiSoft) is blazingly fast,
and doesn't require a link stage. The SMPTE generator gets from source to
executable in 15 seconds. I'd use C if someone ported Lightspeed C from
MAcintosh-land. We nee a few more C compilers, not more ray-trace programs!!
