#Transport Controller
Stan,
Many times I wanted to purchase a single-frame recording VCR like the SONY
SLHF-1000 or the Panasonic AG-1950 to record my animations to video tape. The
only problem is that unless I want to stand in front of the VCR and hit
<RECORD-FRAME> after each rendered frame, I would have to purchase a $2300.00
controller unit to be used with a $500.00 driver from Byte-By-Byte! And
becides that, the cost of the VCR itself, a total cost of only $7000.00 !!! It
would cost this much because I would have to use a "Professional" VCR instead
of the ones mentioned earlier that cost around $1200.00.
This is why I was wondering if Impulse was thinking about supporting the
Transport Controller by MicroIllusions. With this hooked up to TSilver, and
one of the above mentioned VCRs, for only a couple thousand dollars, anyone
could have and in-house graphic studio.
I haven't talked with MicroIllusions yet about the controller becuase the
the only software that will support it right now it Videoscape-3D (Yawn).
If you dicide to support the product, or you have something else up your
sleave, write me. I'll start saving my pennies for a VCR.
