Jeff,
MIDI communicates at 31,250. What laguage are you using to test out your
equipment? If you are using C, there is a program available (it's up here, but
the name escapes me – maybe MIDILIB.ARC or MIDI20.ARC) that does all of the
work for you as far as interfacing with the serial port via MIDI. I know that
you can use it also with assembly, but there are no examples (most of the
examples are in C). Not sure about M2, but BASIC is supported and there are
even a few examples.
