Allen, I understand that's a problem. Someone else mentioned having a similar result and recommended "painting" the label with some sort of protectant. I also hear that HP has been attempting to make an ink that's less likely to run. The cartridge I have is the one that came with the DJ, which is about 4 months old. I have used a moistened finger on a printed page (using copier paper) and it doesn't run at all. I haven't tried "raining" on it, but a wet finger doesn't seem to matter. Perhaps HP has improved the ink formula. Of course label stock tends not to be as porous as copier paper. Steve
