Keith, Sounds less like quality control, than some sort of lemon. It happens in cars just like that. I have an A1000 and was using a 65meg expansion drive with 1.5 meg. I have an A500 with the 512 expansion board. I have an A2000 with 3 meg, 40meg HD, and an A2620 accelerator board. Out of all that hardware, there was a 68000 chip in the A2000 that would not recognize the A2620 board. $35.00 took care of that. It was out of warranty by the time I added the A2620 board. Oh, and I have the A1000's original monitor. It too hasn't given me any problems. Am I lucky or were you unlucky? I have worse luck buying telephones, answering machines, VCRs, and can openers than I have had with my Commodores. If there was some sort of lemon law for computers like there is for autos, you would win it. I think it would be appropriate to write to the top management at customer service at Commodore with a list of the things that have gone wrong with your A2000 in just 3 months. It might get no attention, on the other hand, it might stir them up. By the way, did you happen to buy mail order? Jer
