Willette, Ami Pro will do all the stuff that 5.0 will and then some, it just makes you redo your font specs, TOC, indexes. That's not onerous, because in Ami font formatting is done within paragraph styles. (A style is a set of instructions for formatting a particular category of paragraph, level of heading, etc. This is the very procedure you use when marking text for your typesetter or printer. And you can define the categories as you wish.) You select the typography for one body paragraph and the entire body of the text is done. TOC and indexes are generated automatically as in WP. So even here the cost in time and effort isn't very great, unless the document is a complex monograph. And what you get in return is far better support of WYSIWYG than WP offers at its best on an IBMish machine. –Len
