#DECMATE III+ chip
Hello There,
I have recently purchased a system board for a DECmate III+. This is the
DECmate that features an on-board hard disk controller. I replaced this
board into my DECmate III and the only thing that seems to be wrong with it
is the hard disk controller chip. There is a 40 pin chip missing on the
main board. The chip is located on the lower left hand corner of the
component side.
Now for the million dollar question. Does anybody know what chip this
should be. There is simply a blank socket present.
I was hoping to use the board to replace the current defunct one. Any help
would be appreciated.
