The command to look at files on the disk is, simply, DIR. Directories are referenced in brackets, e.g. DIR [MUMBLE] gives you a list of the files in the directory called [MUMBLE]. RSX supports only a single-level directory structure. There are several variants of RSX around; the three most common these days are RSX-11M, RSX-11M-Plus, and MicroRSX (which is a prebuilt very-close-cousin to M-Plus). Which does your system have? If your system has the full RSX distribution installed on it, you can use the HELP command at the DCL prompt to learn about most of the common commands (like DIR etc.) in enough detail to get by. The MicroRSX documentation is not all that expensive and provides a pretty good overview. Unfortunately I can't find the order number off hand. -Bill
