After replacing both of my 8520 chips I now find myself faced with another strange problem. The chips were replaced due to a system clock which lost 30 minutes for every hour it was turned on. I replaced both in the end since I wanted to make sure both chips were in good shape. Now when I want to use the printers, they are on a DB-25 switchbox, I can get them to work only once! Usually using the utility InitPrinter in the system drawer I will get the printer to respond once. Every time I issue the command after that I will get the printer failure requester! I can go to preferences and set my printer to the other type I own and go to InitPrinter and it will go through ONE time, every time I send it after that I get the printer failure requester! I'm really getting lost here. Maybe I've got a real bad motherboard, it sure acts weird. This is a 3 month old machine which has already had the motherboard replaced. I have a Rev 6.2B motherboard now and when it was first installed the printers didn't work at all. An 8520 was replaced and they began working fine. They worked fine right up to the point when the 8520's were replaced with new ones. I'm getting awful tired of this and frustrated. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. If someone knows which chips feed the printer data into the 8520's I'd appreciate that info also. I may be able to track it down but my schematics match the old Rev. 4.3 motherboards. Thanks. Keith
