I've been using the Fuji 2511A fora few months off a GVP G-Force '040
board with no poblems. I have it mounted internally in the 5.25 bay (fits
nicely with the adaptor bracket – too small for a 3.5 slot without the
bracket – made for laptop 3.5" holes, I think). It is as fast on reads,
but, as you would expect, writes are slower than say a normal reomvable
like Syquest or Ricoh. Overall it is quick enough that I have several
disks set up as bootable for software that I run occasionally, and the
speed does not seem to be a hinderance to me.
