I don't think so… the current -04 PROTO SCSI chip is known by Kickstart
and Randell spend lot's of time to put in work-arrounds into the latest
device versions. In general that chip works without any problems and if
you have the ability to change kickstarts, I would highly recommend using
different KS versions in case you do have a problem. Sometimes a different
KS version (or ROM version in case of the 2091) does miracles…
I only now of 3 different cases not working at all and after switching to
an AMD or WD -08 everything was fixed. I personaly run a -08 without any
problems.
