Jim, The 2500/030 is older, but it has far more slots in it than the A3000. With the '030 board, you get *nearly* as much speed, but you have four Amiga slots and four MS-DOS slots, making it much easier to configure the machine the way you want it. Also, the 2500-/030 is not all that old. This particular version was introducted around the first of this year. Once 2.0 is available for it (sometime in September, we think), it will have the same screen appearance and capabilities as the 3000. Both machines will be supported for quite some time to come, and people will choose the one that best fits their needs. The 2500/030 can run UNIX when that is available, too. It does not have the full 32-bit bus that the 3000 has, but it does have some other nice features. .Betty
