Commodore has spent lots of bucks on advertising….the problem is that few people remember the campaigns and ads. Last year's "Stevie" commercials and multi-page Time magazine spreads cost big-time bucks and failed to pump sales or image by a significant amount. Commodore has a special problem when it comes to dealing with the Fortune 500…much of it directly related to the stewardship of Irving Gould. For better or worse, many CEOs aren't terribly interested in doing business with a company that is chartered in the Bahamas as a tax dodge, or meeting Mr. Gould, who can't stay in the country for more than a few day's at a time. For fifty bucks a head, all Amiga owners could form a consortium, buy out Irving and make ME the titular head of Commodore. If you can make it happen, you can borrow the company jet on weekends. Ciao!
