I had the same problems when the 2kb version of VD0 first came out! Finally after some talking to Perry, I came to the conclusion the the latest VD0 will NOT work on an Amiga 500 with 1 meg of ram (512k chip and 512k of C00000 semi-fast memory) Plain and simple! Way back then I suggested that the file description here be changed but apparently it never was. Since then the 1 meg Agnus has been released and I finally have some REAL fast memory (but I never got around to trying out the latest vd0) (I'm using the 6040 byte asdg.device) So, in summary……. The latest VD0 (2kb asdg.device) MAY or MAY NOT work on a 1 meg Amiga 500 that has the 1 meg agnus and no fast mem. It also MAY or MAY NOT work on an Amiga 500 with the 512k agnus with fast mem OTHER than C00000 memory. Again…a 1 meg Amiga 500 (512k chip and a A501 512k expander will NOT work with the 2kb version of Asdg.device! You must use the 6040 byte version! Sysops….can we get that description changed in the library??? later!
