Egads. Who are these people you're talking to? The 2090 works with 1.3, although the 2091 is a better controller (it autoboots). Check the CBM Upgrades library here on CIS (it's in one of these AmigaForums) and look for the most recent 2090 driver (harddisk.device, I think–I've never used a 2090). Copy it to the Expansion drawer of your boot disk. Then try the 1.3 bootup again. I hope that helps you… If not, I'd suggest trying to find a local Amiga user group. I've never used your particular hardware combination, or I might be able to help more… But you SHOULD be able to run WB 1.3 with a 2090/2000 w/1.2 ROM.
